Sterling Silver Bracelets

February 1, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - February 2, 2020 @ 4:00 pm

$225.

The strength of sterling silver is now part of the Metal Clay family. One of the inherent assets of sterling silver clay as compared to fine silver clay is its post firing strength. Therefore, it is the perfect choice for jewelry that requires forming and shaping after firing: such as cuff bracelets and split rings.

In this class students will learn:
• all about sterling silver clay
• how to size cuffs and rings to account for the shrinkage of the clay
• how to shape and texture each project
• proper firing schedule
• forging and shaping pieces after firing

The students will make one sterling silver bracelet in class,  decorated with appliqué and a unique stone setting.

Prerequisite

Prior experience with metal clay, like the successful completion of an introduction to metal clay class.

If interested in taking the class, please email me and I’ll add you to the class and send you an e-invoice.  Class limited to 5 students.
